Tris with Runog's Fire

This is supposed to be Tris in the beginning of Sandry's Book (from Tamora Pierce's Circle of Magic series), where she's on a ship on the way from Capchen to Winding Circle and Runog's Fire jumps from the masts into her hands.
It's not very good, but I'm not very good at drawing people (particularly making them look their age ) and this is the first time I've tried coloring a picture with photoshop.
I got the idea while trying to think of something to do for the Divine Contest on (since Runog's Fire is the water god's lamp). I used something else for the contest, but decided to try drawing Tris anyway.
